Mairie de Montclairet
A town council website built around its services

Montclairet does not exist: we built this demo site to show what we offer town councils. It presents a fictional town of 1,050 people, made up of three villages.

Where it started
95% of French town websites graded D to F for accessibility
That is the finding of DINUM, Déclic and ADULLACT in November 2025, from an automated test of the home pages of 23,000 sites.
What was at stake
Finding a service without calling the town hall
Residents come for one specific task. They need to find it from the home page, on mobile and desktop alike.
What we put in place
Services from the home page
Four entry points below the photo: civil records, school and childcare, planning, halls and equipment. On mobile, four common tasks appear as a list.
Twenty-four services to filter
Each one says whether it is done at the town hall or online, and leads to the next step. A field filters the list as you type.
Instant search
Results appear as you type, without going through an outside service.
Paths by situation
Moving here, starting a business, visiting: each path gathers the links to the pages that matter.
Town life
The council, its minutes, the budget and public contracts, the calendar and the town newsletter each have their place.
Accessibility
A skip link, a keyboard-friendly menu and an accessibility statement. The statement reports partial compliance with RGAA 4.1: the full audit is still to be done.
